Ingredients
- 12 cup butter
- unsalted and room temperature
- 12 cup shortening
- Crisco (regular flavor
- not butter-flavored)
- 4 cups confectioners sugar, sifted", "2 tablespoons cream", "18 teaspoon table salt", "1 teaspoon extract (vanilla, lemon, what you like)
Instructions
- Beat the butter and shortening until well-blended.
- Add in the confecioners sugar, salt and extract and cream together.
- If it is stiff add the cream until spreading consistency.
- For colored icings or pure white icing use all Crisco.
- Do a light crumb coat, let dry and then pipe or frost with remaining icing, decorate and devour.
