White Clam Sauce and Shrimp

Ingredients

  • 1 bag frozen cavatelli pasta
  • 1 bag fresh broccoli florets
  • 2 tbsp. olive oil
  • 3 clove garlic
  • 1 bag frozen
  • shelled
  • medium shrimp
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1/4 tsp. crushed red pepper (optional)
  • 1 jar white clam sauce
  • 1 tomato

Instructions

  1. Cook pasta in a large pot of lightly salted boiling water as package directs, adding broccoli to pasta water 3 minutes before pasta is done.
  2. Drain pasta and broccoli; return to pot.
  3. Meanwhile heat oil in a large nonstick skillet over medium heat.
  4. Add garlic and saute until aromatic.
  5. Add shrimp, salt and crushed pepper (if using).
  6. Saute 3 minutes or until shrimp are pink and just barely opaque in center.
  7. Add clam sauce; bring to a boil, reduce heat and simmer 1 minute for flavors to blend.
  8. Pour over pasta and broccoli, add tomato and toss to mix and coat.
  9. Serve with shredded Parmesan cheese.
