Combine the egg yolks with the sugar, nuts, and flour, then mix in the egg whites.
Grease and flour 2 (9 inch) cake pans, then spoon mix into pans.
Bake at 325 degrees for 30 min.
Remove from pans; let cold on racks, then sandwich the 2 layers together with this filling: 1/2 pound walnuts, shelled and finely minced 1/4 c. heavy cream
Mix the sugar and nuts; gradually stir in the cream.
Use only sufficient cream to hold the filling together.
If you like, drizzle some of the following icing over the top of the torte: 1 tbsp.
lemon juice
Mix thoroughly and drizzle over the top of the torte.
