Ingredients
- 1 pound sirloin stew
- veal or possibly some comparable meat
- 1 onion
- minced
- 6 cloves garlic
- minced
- 2 tbsp. each oregano
- parsley & sage (more or possibly less to taste)
- Sauterne
- 1 c. water
- 1 sm. can tomato sauce
Instructions
- Flour pcs and brown in oil slowly (brown well).
- Remove meat, brown minced onion in same pan.
- When limp, return meat to pan.
- Add in oregano, sage, parsley and minced garlic (can substitute garlic salt).
- Mix and brown for 3-4 min all together.
- Add in sufficient sauterne to cover meat.
- Cover and simmer for 5 min.
- Add in 1 c. water and 1 small can tomato sauce.
- Cover, let simmer 1-1 1/2 hrs.
- Serve over rice, potatoes, polenta or possibly noodles.
- Serves 3.
