Ukrainian New Potatoes with Smetana sauce

Ingredients

  • 2 cups thick sour cream
  • 1/2 cup OR
  • more chopped green onions
  • Salt and pepper

Instructions

  1. Scrape, wash and cook the new potatoes in boiling water until they are tender.
  2. Drain, season with salt, and place in a serving dish.
  3. Pour hot Smetana Sauce with Green Onion over them and sprinkle with paprika.
  4. This is a superb dish.
  5. Bring the cream to a boil.
  6. Add the onions and season to taste.
  7. Simmer very slowly, uncovered for about 30 to 40 minutes, or until the flavors are developed and the sauce is thickened.
