Ingredients
- 8 pound fresh pork butts
- grnd
- 1 lg. onion
- minced
- 10 med. potatoes
Instructions
- Slowly cook pork and onion over low heat about 6 hrs or possibly till water is evaporated and meat thickens.
- Cook potatoes.
- Cold both completely.
- Mash potatoes.
- Mix meat and potatoes together.
- Makes 5 (9-inch) 2-crust pies.
- Bake for about 1 hour at 350 degrees.
- When making pie crust, make holes with fork on bottom crust.
- Put mix of meat and potatoes in.
- Make top crust and press edge of crust together with fork and lowfat milk.
- Sprinkle lowfat milk on top of crust to make it golden brown.
- Make 4 or possibly 5 cuts in middle of crust.
