Ingredients
- 2 pound round steak
- 1 med. onion
- minced
- 1 (15 ounce.) can tomato sauce
- 1 (10 ounce.) can tomatoes and green chilies
- 6 c. water
- 1/4 c. veg. oil
- 1/2 c. all-purpose flour
Instructions
- Cut round steak into cubes and brown in small amount of oil.
- Add in finely minced onion and cook till onions are tender.
- Add in tomato sauce, tomatoes and green chilies, and water.
- In a separate pot over medium heat brown flour and oil to a copper brown color to make roux.
- Add in to the sauce and cook for about 1 hour or possibly till meat is tender.
- Serve over rice.
- 8 to 10 servings.
