Ingredients

  • 160 grams Sweet new harvest onion
  • 360 ml Uncooked white rice
  • 3 tbsp Sakura shrimp
  • 1 Aburaage
  • 1 tbsp Cooking sake
  • 1 tsp Sesame oil
  • 1 tbsp Mirin
  • 1/2 tsp each Salt
  • soy sauce

Instructions

  1. Rinse the rice and soak in water for about 30 minutes.
  2. Slice the onion to 5 mm width.
  3. Pour hot water over the aburaage to drain excess oil, and cut into 5 mm wide strips.
  4. Put the rice from Step 1 in a rice cooker.
  5. Add water up to the 2 cup mark, add the ingredients from Step 2, and the ingredients.
  6. Stir well and set the rice cooker to cook.
