Ingredients

  • 1/4 cup Olive oil
  • 1 Garlic (1whole peeled and minced)
  • 3 JalapeAao (green long chilies-sliced diagonally)
  • 2 tsp Pimenton (Spanish paprika-sweet)
  • 1 dash Salt (to taste)
  • 1/2 kg Shrimps (drained and shelled
  • tails preferably intact)
  • 1/4 tsp Brown sugar

Instructions

  1. Heat oil in a non-stick pan and sautAS garlic.
  2. Add in JalapeAao after 2-3 minutes.
  3. Add in salt and pimenton, simmer for 2 minutes before adding in the shrimps.
  4. Wait for the shrimps to cook/to turn orange.
  5. Remove shrimps from the sauce and set aside.
  6. Simmer and reduce sauce mixture for about 5 minutes.
  7. Once sauce has reduced, add in sugar and mix well.
  8. Simmer for another minute before putting the cooked shrimps back in.
  9. Cook for about 2-3 minutes under medium to high heat.
  10. Serve hot.
  11. This is best paired with toasted ciabatta, toasted pita bread or plain rice, whichever you prefer.. :)
