Ingredients

  • 1 Filet or Ribeye. 1 inch thick. Meat market preferably
  • 1 tbsp kosher salt per side. evenly applied
  • 1 tsp fresh cracked black pepper per side
  • 1 Good Olive Oil brushed on all sides

Instructions

  1. The night before you intend to cook the steaks, or at least 4 hours before, brush steaks with olive oil and apply salt and pepper to both sides.
  2. Let sit uncovered in the fridge.
  3. An hour before you intend to grill pull them out and set on the counter to come to room temperature.
  4. Preheat grill.
  5. If charcoal, when the coals are white hot, if gas... cook on high.
  6. If at least 1 inch thick, and for medium rare, cook 5 minutes per side.
  7. Only flip once.
  8. Remove from grill and let rest covered in foil for at least 10 minutes.
  9. Serve and enjoy.
