Ingredients
- 1 Filet or Ribeye. 1 inch thick. Meat market preferably
- 1 tbsp kosher salt per side. evenly applied
- 1 tsp fresh cracked black pepper per side
- 1 Good Olive Oil brushed on all sides
Instructions
- The night before you intend to cook the steaks, or at least 4 hours before, brush steaks with olive oil and apply salt and pepper to both sides.
- Let sit uncovered in the fridge.
- An hour before you intend to grill pull them out and set on the counter to come to room temperature.
- Preheat grill.
- If charcoal, when the coals are white hot, if gas... cook on high.
- If at least 1 inch thick, and for medium rare, cook 5 minutes per side.
- Only flip once.
- Remove from grill and let rest covered in foil for at least 10 minutes.
- Serve and enjoy.
