Swordfish With Kiwi Salsa

Ingredients

  • 1 kiwi fruit
  • peeled and diced
  • 1 small yellow bell pepper
  • diced
  • 12 small red onion
  • diced
  • 1 jalapeno pepper
  • seeded and finely chopped
  • 1 teaspoon lime zest
  • grated
  • 3 tablespoons fresh lime juice
  • 14 teaspoon sea salt
  • 13 cup cilantro
  • chopped
  • 12 teaspoon ground cumin
  • 14 teaspoon fresh ground black pepper
  • 2 teaspoons canola oil
  • 4 swordfish steaks

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, toss together kiwi, bell pepper, onion, jalapeno, lime zest and juice, salt and cilantro.
  2. Set aside.
  3. In a small bowl, mix together cumin and black pepper.
  4. Set an oven rack about 6 inches from the heating element and preheat the broiler.
  5. Brush oil on both sides of swordfish steaks and sprinkle each side with the cumin mixture.
  6. Place fish on a rimmed baking sheet and broil for 5 minutes.
  7. Turn and broil until opaque in the center, another 4 to 5 minutes.
  8. Place swordfish steaks on 4 plates and top each with kiwi salsa.
