Ingredients

  • 300 grams Combined ground beef and pork (just ground pork is fine)
  • 1 Onion
  • 1 Carrot
  • 400 ml Water
  • 100 grams Japanese-style curry roux mix
  • 1 Soup stock cube (consomme is also OK)
  • 1 tbsp Grated garlic
  • 1 tsp Grated ginger
  • 1 Eggplant (Sliced squash is also OK)

Instructions

  1. Cut the carrots and onions into bite-sized pieces, and finely chop in a mixer or food processor!
  2. Put oil in a frying pan and add garlic and ginger.
  3. Heat until they start to release their aroma.
  4. Then, fry the meat.
  5. When the meat is more or less cooked, add the ingredients from Step 1 and cook thoroughly.
  6. Once it's cooked thoroughly, add water and then the curry roux while simmering over medium heat.
  7. When the roux has melted, add ketchup, a little Worcestershire sauce and 1 square of chocolate and let it simmer.
  8. You can also add nutmeg, garam masala, chili powder, and cinnamon, etc...
  9. Simmer over medium heat without the lid so the water evaporates.
  10. When the mixture has become crumbly, it's done.
