Stir-Fried Chicken Gizzards with Green Onion, Salt, and Lemon

Ingredients

  • 300 grams Chicken gizzards
  • 1 bunch Green onions or scallions
  • 3 tbsp Sake
  • 1 tsp Salt
  • 1/2 tsp Grated garlic
  • 1 tbsp Lemon juice
  • 1 tsp Sugar
  • 1 tbsp Sesame oil
  • 1 Black pepper (coarsely ground)

Instructions

  1. Cut the chicken gizzards into bite-sized pieces.
  2. Cut the green onions into small round slices.
  3. Mix the ingredients in a bowl, and marinate the Step 1 chicken gizzards and green onions in the sauce for 10-15 minutes.
  4. Keep a small amount of green onions for garnish.
  5. Heat sesame oil (not listed) in a frying pan, and stir-fry the chicken gizzards.
  6. (Try not to add the marinade sauce into the pan.)
  7. When the chicken gizzards are cooked through completely, add the marinade sauce, bring to a boil, and turn off the heat.
  8. Serve on a plate, top with the green onions which were set aside earlier.
  9. Sprinkle as much as black pepper you like, and you're done.
