Ingredients
- 1 lb ground beef
- 1 lb ground sausage (mild or spicy)
- 1 (28 ounce) can tomato sauce
- 1 (28 ounce) can kidney beans
- with liquid
- 1 (28 ounce) can pinto beans or 1 (28 ounce) can black beans
- with liquid
- 1 (28 ounce) can whole kernel corn
- drained
- 1 cup diced onion
- 14 cup celery
- diced
- 3 medium tomatoes
- chopped
- 12 cup green pepper
- chopped
- 14 cup sliced jalapeno
- with liquid (jarred preferred)
- 2 teaspoons cumin
- 3 tablespoons chili powder
- 2 teaspoons black pepper
- 2 teaspoons seasoning salt
- 1 tablespoon cayenne pepper
- chopped fresh cilantro
- 2 cups water
Instructions
- Brown ground beef and sausage in skillet; drain off fat.
- Using a fork crumble meat into pea sized pieces.
- In your crockpot, combine meats, plus all the remaining ingredients and simmer on low heat.
- Cook stirring every 15 minutes for 2-3 hours.
- When ready to serve you can top with your favorite toppings.
- Recommended: sour cream, shredded cheddar cheese, and sliced green onions.
