Spiced Balsamic Chicken Breasts

Ingredients

  • 2 boneless skinless chicken breast halves
  • 2 garlic cloves
  • minced
  • 14 teaspoon thyme
  • 18 teaspoon salt
  • 18 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • 18 cup reduced-sodium fat-free chicken broth
  • 12 tablespoon balsamic vinegar

Instructions

  1. Place chicken between two pieces of plastic wrap and pound with a meat mallet until 1/2-inch thick.
  2. Combine garlic, thyme, salt and pepper; rub one side of each piece of chicken.
  3. Brown chicken in butter for 8-10 minutes or until done, turning once halfway through cooking.
  4. Remove chicken from pan and keep warm.
  5. Add broth to pan; heat 1 minute.
  6. Remove from heat; stir in vinegar.
  7. Pour sauce over chicken and serve.
