Ingredients
- 2 filets Spanish mackerel (sawara)
- 50 ml Sake
- 30 grams Sugar
- 1 tbsp Vegetable oil
- 50 ml Organic whole-soy bean soy sauce
Instructions
- Put the organic whole soy bean soy sauce, sake and sugar in a bowl and mix together.
- Add the fish filets and marinate.
- Heat up the oil in a frying pan.
- Add the drained marinated Spanish mackerel filets to the pan, and cook slowly over medium-low heat on both sides.
- If you wipe out any excess fat or oil in the pan with paper towels as you cook the fish, they're less liable to burn.
- Add 2 tablespoons of the marinating liquid to the pan, and coat the fish filets with it until they are brown and shiny.
- Serve.
