Ingredients
- 1 pound Spaghetti Noodles
- Uncooked
- 1/4 pounds Bacon
- 8 whole Mushrooms
- Button-type
- Sliced
- 1/2 pounds Ground Beef
- 28 ounces
- weight Crushed Tomatoes
- Salt And Pepper
- to taste
- 1/4 cups Fresh Chopped Basil
- 1 teaspoon Feta Cheese
- Crumbled
- 1 teaspoon Blue Cheese
- Crumbled
- Asiago
- Parmesan
- Or Romano Cheese
- For Garnish
Instructions
- Cook spaghetti noodles according to package directions for al-dente.
- When its done, drain it and set aside.
- While the pasta is cooking, chop the bacon into 1 inch pieces, and cook them in a skillet over medium-high heat until half-way done.
- Then add the mushrooms to the bacon.
- Continue to cook until the bacon is crisp and the mushrooms are softened.
- Remove mushrooms and bacon to a plate.
- You can remove some of the grease if you like.
- In the same pan, over medium heat, brown the ground beef.
- When the beef is browned, add the mushrooms and bacon back into the pan, and mix well.
- Add the canned tomatoes, salt and pepper, chopped basil, and the feta and blue cheeses.
- Stir well.
- Turn the heat to low, and cook for 20 minutes (covered), stirring occasionally.
- Serve the sauce over pasta, topped with grated cheese (Asiago, Parmesan or Romano).
