Ingredients
- 10 plum tomatoes cored
- 2 small garlic cloves
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 1 small white onion cut into wedges
- 2 jalapeno peppers with stems cut off seeded if desired
- 1/2 tsp sea salt
- 3 tbsp minced fresh cilantro
- 1/2 lime juiced
- 1/4 tsp pepper
- 1/4 tsp sugar
Instructions
- cut a small slit in two tomatoes and insert a garlic clove into each slit
- place tomatoes, onion, olive oil, and jalapenos in slow cooker
- cover and cook on high for 2 1/2 hours
- let cool and place in a blender or food processor and add rest of ingredients and process until smooth
