Simple Sweet N' Sour Pork

Ingredients

  • 200 grams Pork
  • 1/2 medium Onion
  • 1/4 Carrot
  • 4 Green pepper
  • 1 enough to coat the meat Katakuriko
  • 2 tbsp Vinegar
  • 2 tbsp Usukuchi soy sauce
  • 2 tbsp Sugar
  • 2 tbsp Ketchup
  • 50 ml Water
  • 1/2 tsp Chinese soup stock
  • 1 tsp Katakuriko
  • 2 tbsp Usukuchi soy sauce
  • 2 tbsp Sake
  • 1 Grated ginger
  • 1 Sesame oil (for stir frying)

Instructions

  1. Macerate the meat in soy sauce, sake, and ginger for about 20 minutes.
  2. Drain the flavoring sauce from the meat in step 1, coat in katakuriko, and deep fry.
  3. Cut onions, carrots, and green peppers into easy-to-eat pieces.
  4. Caution: Since you are sauteing the vegetables, they will be difficult to cook through if you cut too big.
  5. Add sesame oil to a pan, and saute the vegetables from Step 3.
  6. Combine the ingredients.
  7. Add the mixed after the vegetables have been sauteed (the katakuriko will settle to the bottom of the bowl, so make sure to stir it well after adding it).
  8. Add the deep fried meat from Step 2 to Step 6, mix it together, and it is done.
