Simple Simmered Fried Tofu and Komatsuna Without Water

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2- slices Abura-age
  • 1 bunch Komatsuna
  • 1 Carrot (optional)
  • 1 tbsp Sugar
  • 1 tbsp Mirin
  • 2 tbsp Soy sauce
  • 1 Dashi stock granules

Instructions

  1. Roughly chop the komatsuna and cut the carrot into thin strips.
  2. Run the abura-age under hot water to remove the surface oil and cut into thin strips.
  3. The carrot and tofu should be cut in 4-5 cm long strips.
  4. Heat the ingredients from Step 1 and the ingredients in a saucepan.
  5. If you don't have space in the saucepan, add the ingredients after the other ingredients have cooked.
  6. Once the komatsuna and carrot are tender, the dish is ready to serve.
