Lay out the four chicken breasts and lightly sprinkle them with the Italian dressing mix.
Flip the chicken over and lightly sprinkle the other side.
You will still have a good amount of Italian dressing mix left.
In a large Ziploc bag, dump the remaining Italian dressing mix and add oil a little at a time until you have a thin paste.
I cannot give you an exact amount of oil to add as it depends on how heavily you sprinkled the mix on the chicken, but start out with a couple tablespoons and go from there.
You want the consistency to be that of applesauce.
Add the seasoned chicken to the bag and make sure the chicken gets well-coated.
Marinate the chicken for at least 8 hours in the refrigerator.
I usually marinate mine overnight.
Cook the chicken your preferred way.
I usually just cook mine in a skillet on the stove.
There is no need to add oil to the skillet since the chicken marinated in some oil!
I love the delicious crust I get from pan-frying it!
