Ingredients
- 4 chops or possibly steaks
- 1 teaspoon salt
- Dash of pepper
- 1/2 teaspoon paprika
- if you like
- 1 onion
- sliced
- 1/2 green pepper
- 1 1/2 c. canned tomatoes
- 1/3 c. raw rice
- 1 1/2 c. water
Instructions
- Sprinkle meat with seasonings.
- Brown in warm skillet.
- Place in roasting pan with sliced onion and pepper on each chop.
- Add in tomatoes.
- Brown rice in skillet, add in water and pour around chops.
- Cover and bake at 350 degrees for 2 hrs.
- Emily uses foil or possibly a cookie sheet for the cover and bakes 1 1/2 hrs at 325 degrees and usually mixes the tomatoes with the rice and water.
- 1/3 c. raw rice = 1 c. cooked.
