Ingredients
- 6 thick pork loin chops
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 14 teaspoon pepper
- 1 small onion
- chopped
- 14 cup celery
- chopped
- 1 pinch thyme
- 1 cup orange juice
- 2 tablespoons wine vinegar
- oil for browning sauce
Instructions
- In a small amount of oil, brown chops on both sides, allowing about 10 minutes.
- Sprinkle with salt and pepper.
- Transfer to greased medium casserole.
- In a minimum amount of the fat left from the chops, brown onions and celery.
- Turn onto chops.
- Combine thyme, orange juice and wine vinegar; sprinkle over chops in casserole, cover and bake at 350* 50-60 minutes or until meat is tender.
- Remove cover for last 10 minutes; thicken sauce.
