Ingredients
- 18 Sea Scallops
- 1- 1/2 Tablespoon Butter
- Softened
- 1/2 teaspoons Dry Basil
- 1- 1/2 Tablespoon Vegetable Oil
- Salt And Pepper
- to taste
Instructions
- 1.
- Rinse scallops in cold water and pat dry with paper towels.
- 2.
- Combine butter and basil in a small bowl.
- Using your hands, roll the mixture into a ball.
- 3.
- Season scallops with salt and pepper on both sides.
- 4.
- In a large skillet, heat oil over high heat.
- 5.
- Add scallops (its better when they are not touching each other, cook in batches if necessary) and sear for 1 1/2 minutes on each side.
- 6.
- Move scallops to one side of the skillet and add the butter.
- Cook scallops for another 30 seconds, spooning the melted butter over them.
- 7.
- Serve immediately.
