Ingredients
- 2 egg whites
- 2 1/2 tsp sugar
- 3/4 cup almond flour
- 1 cup powdered sugar
Instructions
- mix almond flour and powdered sugar,then sift into a bowl.
- set aside.
- beat egg whites on a low speed for 3mins until foamy.
- slowly add in sugar while mixing on medium speed for 3mins.
- (optional) add food colouring, then mix for 3mins.
- add egg white mixture to flour mixture,then fold with a rubber spatula.
- *FOLD 50 STROKES approx.
- If you undermix, you'll get cracks in your cookies.
- If you ovvermix, the cookies will spread and become flat.
- put mixture into a piping bag .
- Squeeze out the desired size of your macarons onto a baking sheet lines with parchment paper.
- take the baking sheet, lift it then hit it onto the counter 2-3times.
- this step with get rid of the air bubbles.
- set for 20-30mins until it forms a shell.
- bake in the oven for 15-17mins.
- cool for 10mins.
- fill your cookies with whatever you want.
- (buttercream,jam,lemon curd, melted chocolate etc.)
