Ingredients
- 1 lb ground round
- 2 green peppers
- 6 fresh basil leaves
- 12 teaspoon cracked black pepper
Instructions
- Core and seed peppers, chop into 1/2 inch pieces.
- Add to a pot of lightly salted boiling water for a minute or so, strain through a colander but don't rinse; cool to room temperature.
- Roughly mince basil leaves, add all ingredients into a large bowl and mix with your hands.
- Divide mixture into 6 parts and shape into burgers.
- You can freeze them by placing patties between waxed paper, and then into containers or freezer bags.
