Pasta with Tomato and Olive Sauce

Ingredients

  • 1 pound Dried Pasta
  • 2 Tablespoons Olive Oil
  • 1 can Black Olives
  • Chop 3/4 Of The Can And Leave The Rest Whole (15 Oz. Can)
  • 1 whole Garlic Clove
  • Minced
  • 1/2 Tablespoons Red Pepper Flakes
  • 1 can Tomato Sauce (8 Oz)
  • 2 teaspoons Dried Basil
  • 1/2 cups Parmesan
  • Grated

Instructions

  1. Cook pasta according to directions on the package.
  2. In a saute pan, heat oil.
  3. When almost smoking, add olives, garlic and red pepper flakes.
  4. Saute for 3 minutes over medium high heat.
  5. Reduce heat to low and carefully pour in tomato sauce and basil; simmer for 10 minutes.
  6. Drain pasta in a colander, reserving 1/4 cup pasta water.
  7. Add pasta to the sauce and toss to coat completely.
  8. Add pasta water if you need to thin out the sauce a bit.
  9. Plate pasta and sprinkle with Parmesan cheese.
