Ingredients
- 1 lb spaghetti
- 12 cup half-and-half
- 2 tablespoons grated parmesan cheese
- 4 tablespoons butter
- 2 slices salt pork
- 4 tablespoons butter
- 1 cup fresh mushrooms
- cleaned and sliced
- 1 (10 ounce) package frozen green peas
- 3 tablespoons grated parmesan cheese
Instructions
- Cook spaghetti until al dente; drain.
- In a saucepan, over low heat, combine half and half, 3 tablespoons Parmesan cheese and 4 tablespoons butter.
- Dice salt pork.
- In a separate skillet saute pork in the remaining 4 tablespoons butter until crisp.
- Remove salt pork and drain on paper towels.
- Add mushrooms and peas to skillet and cook 5 - 10 minutes.
- Add cream sauce, salt pork and mushroom mixture to spaghetti; mix and sprinkle with remaining Parmesan cheese.
