Parmesan, Paprika, and Herbs Roasted Green Beans

Ingredients

  • 6 cups green beans ends removed
  • and cut into 3-inch pieces if too long
  • 4 tablespoons olive oil
  • extra-virgin
  • 3 teaspoons paprika prefer smoked
  • 1/2 teaspoon cumin ground
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons black pepper freshly ground
  • 4 cloves garlic or as needed
  • freshly minced
  • or garlic powder as needed
  • 13 cup parmesan
  • parmigiano-reggiano cheese
  • grated
  • 1 tablespoon thyme freshly chopped
  • or 2 teaspoons dried
  • optional
  • 1/2 tablespoon rosemary leaves freshly chopped
  • or 1 teaspoon dried
  • optional
  • 1 x salt to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 450F (230C).
  2. Add the green beans, olive oil, paprika, cumin, black pepper, garlic, parmesan cheese, thyme and rosemary leaves if using and salt to taste into baking pan, toss with a wooden spoon until the green beans are well and evenly coated.
  3. Bake the green beans for about half an hour.
  4. Stir the green beans once to make sure all sides are evenly roasted.
  5. Return the baking pan into the oven and continue to bake for another 15 minutes, or until the green beans become tender-crisp and start to become brown at some spots.
  6. Let cool for a few minutes.
  7. Season with more salt and black pepper if needed.
  8. Serve and enjoy.
