Oven Roasted Strawberries With Chantilly Cream

Ingredients

  • 250 g strawberries
  • hulled
  • halved
  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 12 cup thickened cream
  • 1 tablespoon icing sugar
  • 12 vanilla bean
  • seeds removed for use

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 240C fan-forced.
  2. Place the strawberries on a sheet of baking paper in a small roasting pan & sprinkle with brown sugar.
  3. Roast strawberries for 8-10 minutes or until the strawberries collapse slightly.
  4. Remove from the oven and set aside for 5 minutes.
  5. Whip the cream to soft peaks.
  6. Add the icing sugar and vanilla seeds & beat until thick.
  7. Spoon the strawberries and juices into a bowl.
  8. Serve with chantilly cream.
