- 1 Tablespoon Shallot
- Garlic Or Sesame Oil
- 1 teaspoon Salt
- 1 teaspoon Pepper
- 1 whole Potato
- 1 cup Breadcrumbs/panko
- 1 whole Egg
- 2 Tablespoons Flour (I Used Cornflour)
- Vegetable Oil
- For Frying
Instructions
- 1) Marinate the minced pork with soy sauce, shallot oil, salt and pepper in a large bowl.
- 2) In a separate bowl, coarsely grate the potato and squeeze out as much juice as you can with your hands.
- Pour the drained, grated potato into the minced meat.
- 3) Add the panko, egg and flour.
- With your hands, mix the mince mixture, squeezing the ingredients to remove as many air pockets as possible.
- 4) Shape the mince mixture into 4 patties.
- 4) Heat up a skillet with about 3-4 Tablespoons of vegetable oil.
- On medium-low heat, fry the patties for about 10 minutes on each side.
- Careful not to burn.
- You need to ensure that the patties are well-done on the insides as well.
- 5) Serve as a side or with burger buns or on its own!
- Note: Feel free to use any kind of seasoning you like.
- I wanted to keep mine simple.
