Noreta's Chocolate Cake

Ingredients

• 2 cups flour
• 2 cups sugar
• 1 cup butter
• 4 tablespoons cocoa powder
• 1 cup water
• 12 cup buttermilk
• 2 eggs
• 2 teaspoons baking soda
• 1 teaspoon vanilla
• 12 cup butter
• 4 tablespoons cocoa powder
• 6 tablespoons milk
• 4 cups powdered sugar
• 1 teaspoon vanilla
• 23 cup pecans
• chopped

Instructions

1. Heat oven to 350F.
2. Grease and flour a 13 x9 baking pan.
3. In a large mixing bowl, stir together 2 cups of flour and 2 cups of sugar.
4. Set Aside.
5. In a saucepan, bring 2 sticks butter, 4 TBSP Cocoa, and 1 cup water to a boil.
6. Pour over flour and sugar mixture.
7. Add in 1/2 cup buttermilk, 2 eggs, 2tsp baking soda, and 1 tsp vanilla.
8. Pour into greased and floured baking pan and bake for 30 minutes.
9. While baking, mix together the following:.
10. 1 stick softened butter, 4 TBSP cocoa powder, 6 TBSP milk, 4 cups powdered sugar, 1 tsp vanilla, 2/3 cup chopped pecans.
11. As soon as cake is out of oven, spread frosting over cake.
