Ingredients
- 1 pound Ricotta or possibly sm. curd cottage cheese
- 1 1/2 c. shredded Mozzarella cheese
- divided
- 1 egg
- 1 (10 ounce.) pkg. frzn minced spinach
- thawed and liquid removed
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon oregano
- Pepper
- 1 (8 ounce.) pkg. lasagna noodles
- uncooked
- 1 c. water
- 2 (15-16 ounce.) jars spaghetti sauce (Prego works well)
Instructions
- In large bowl mix Ricotta, 1 c. Mozzarella, egg, spinach, salt, pepper and oregano.
- In greased 13 x 9 x 2 inch baking dish, layer: 1/2 c. sauce, 1/3 of noodles, and half of cheese mix.
- Repeat.
- Top with remaining noodles and then remaining sauce.
- Sprinkle with remaining half c. of Mozzarella.
- Pour water around edges.
- Cover tightly with foil.
- Bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour and 15 min.
- Let stand 15 min before serving.
