Molasses Cookies Recipe

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 c. brown sugar
  • 1 1/2 c. white sugar
  • 3/4 c. molasses
  • 2 1/4 c. Crisco
  • 6 3/4 c. flour
  • sifted
  • 1 tbsp. cinnamon
  • 1 tbsp. baking soda
  • 1 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 3 Large eggs

Instructions

  1. Cream shortening and sugar.
  2. Add in Large eggs, beat.
  3. Add in molasses; beat.
  4. Add in cinnamon, baking soda and salt.
  5. Beat.
  6. Add in sifted flour, 2 c. at a time; beat.
  7. Roll cookies into balls, roll in white sugar till covered.
  8. Bake 10 to 12 min at 350 degrees till cookie tops just begin to crack.
  9. Don't over bake.
