Ingredients
- 2 Packages yeast
- 5 c. flour
- 1 tbsp. sugar
- 2 teaspoon salt
- 2 c. lowfat milk
- 1/4 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 c. water
- Cornmeal
Instructions
- Combine 3 c. flour, yeast, sugar, salt, and soda.
- Heat liquids till very hot (120 to 130 degrees).
- Add in to dry mix; beat well.
- Stir in rest of flour (2 c.) to make a stiff batter.
- Spoon into 2 (8 1/2 x 4 1/2 inch pans which have been greased and sprinkled with cornmeal.
- Cover and let rise in hot place for 45 min.
- Microwave each loaf on high power for 6 1/2 min.
- Surface will be flat and pale.
- Let rest 5 min before removing from pan.
- Great toasted!
