Ingredients

  • 1 each yeast cakes dissolved
  • 2 tablespoons water warm
  • 1/2 cup mashed potatoes
  • 1/2 cup water hot
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 2 large eggs beaten
  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 1 pinch salt
  • 3 cups flour
  • all-purpose

Instructions

  1. Combine yeast cake, warm water, potatoes, hot water and sugar.
  2. Let rise until light and bubbly or spongelike.
  3. Add remaining ingredients and roll out and cut with small round cookie cutter.
  4. Place on greased cookie sheet.
  5. Let rise 30 min.
  6. and bake at 350F (180C) for about 20 min.
  7. Brush with melted butter and sprinkle with powdered sugar.
