Ingredients
- 2 lb ground beef
- 2 small onions
- chopped fine
- 3 tbsp chopped parsley and mint leaves
- 1/2 cup rice
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 1 tsp salt
- 2 cup water
- 1/2 cup flour
- 1 salt and pepper to taste
- 4 eggs
- seperated
- 2 lemons
- juiced
Instructions
- Knead meat, onion, salt, pepper, rice thoroughly
- Shape into round balls and sprinkle with flour
- Bring water to boil in saucepan with little salt; add meatballs and oil and simmer for about 40 min
- Seperate eggs and beat whites until they form peaks; fold in yolks which have been beaten separately with lemon juice
- Remove pan with meatballs, temper egg mixture with hot broth and then pour over meatballs
- Serve hot
