Meat and Cheese Foldovers

Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground turkey or 1 lb ground beef
  • 14 cup finely chopped onion
  • 34 cup barbecue sauce
  • 6 slices cheese (Cheddar or American) or 6 slices soy cheese (Cheddar or American)
  • 2 (8 ounce) cans refrigerated crescent dinner rolls or 2 (8 ounce) cans refrigerated reduced-fat crescent rolls
  • 2 teaspoons toasted sesame seeds

Instructions

  1. Brown meat and onion; stir in barbecue sauce and set aside.
  2. Heat oven to 375.
  3. Unroll crescent dough into four long rectangles on Pam-sprayed cookie sheet.
  4. Overlap long sides; firmly press perforations and edges to seal.
  5. Pat to form a 15x13-inch rectangle.
  6. Spread meat mixture lengthwise, in a 4-inch wide strip, down center of dough to within 1 inch of ends.
  7. Top meat with cheese slices.
  8. Fold shorter sides of dough 1-inch over filling.
  9. Bring long sides of dough rectangle over filling, overlapping edges; pinch edge to seal.
  10. Sprinkle with sesame seeds.
  11. Bake at 375 for 20-25 minutes or until golden brown.
  12. Let stand 5 minutes.
