Ingredients
- 12 cup shortening (or half butter and half shortening)
- 13 cup granulated sugar
- 13 cup light brown sugar
- packed
- 1 egg
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 1 cup flour
- plus
- 2 tablespoons flour
- 14 teaspoon baking soda
- 1 dash salt
- 1 cup miniature chocolate chip
- 12 cup finely chopped walnuts
Instructions
- In a mixing bowl, cream together the shortening, white and brown sugar, egg, and vanilla until light.
- Stir flour, soda, and salt together and stir into the creamed mixture.
- Blend in the chocolate chips and walnuts.
- Lightly grease 2 baking sheets.
- Drop dough by small teaspoonfuls onto the prepared pans.
- Bake at 375 for 8 to 10 minutes or until just golden.
- Remove from oven and cool on racks.
