Mac's Turkey Spaghetti Sauce With Mushrooms Recipe

Ingredients

  • 3 tbsp. extra virgin olive oil
  • 1 tbsp. garlic
  • minced (1 - 3 toes
  • depends on size)
  • 3 c. fresh mushrooms
  • washed and sliced 1/8 inch thick
  • 2 pound grnd turkey
  • 6 (15 1/4 ounce.) jars or possibly 3 (31 ounce.) jars Prego
  • no salt added spaghetti sauce or possibly Ragu homestyle

Instructions

  1. Heat extra virgin olive oil over low - medium heat till hot - warm.
  2. Add in garlic and saute/fry till begins to turn brown, 2 to 3 min.
  3. Add in grnd turkey and cook over medium heat till thoroughly cooked (5 - 10 min) stirring often to break up meat.
  4. Add in mushrooms, cover and cook over low heat (5 - 10 min) till wilted.
  5. Add in spaghetti sauce and simmer 1 to 2 hrs, stirring frequently to avoid sticking.
  6. Keep covered.
  7. Serve over spaghetti with salad and garlic bread (French bread with lite butter and garlic pwdr).
  8. Sprinkle liberally with grated Parmesan and - or possibly Romano.
  9. Any leftovers freeze well.
  10. Serves 10.
  11. Need 3 qt minimum container.
  12. Low fat, low salt, low cholesterol.
