Ingredients
- 2 c. sugar
- 1 c. evaporated lowfat milk
- 1 c. sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 2 1/2 c. minced pecans
- 2 tbsp. butter
Instructions
- Place 2 c. of sugar and lowfat milk in a large saucepan.
- Cook slowly, stirring often.
- At same time put other c. of sugar in another saucepan on low heat, stir till melted.
- Pour slowly into the lowfat milk and sugar which should be ready to boil; stir while adding.
- Cook slowly till a hard ball will form when dropped into cool water, 230 degrees.
- Set off the heat.
- Add in vanilla, pecans and butter.
- Beat or possibly stir till it thickens.
- Drop by spoonful on wax paper.
- Should set immediately.
