Ingredients
- 2/3 c. beer
- 1/3 c. lemon juice
- 1 egg
- 1/2 c. self-rising flour
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Mix all ingredients in a large mixing bowl with wire whisk till batter is smooth.
- Let it stand at room temperature for 10 min.
- Loosely covered.
- Moisten 3 pounds of fish fillets in water.
- Flour each fillet lightly with all-purpose flour.
- Let pcs dry without touching on a wire rack.
- One piece at a time dip the floured filets in batter and fry in warm oil.
- Cook fillets about 4 min, turn and cook other side.
