Ingredients
- 6 lg. eggs
- hard boiled
- 3 tbsp. butter
- 1 lg. onion
- sliced thin
- 1-1/2 tsp. flour
- 2 cups milk
- 3/4 tsp. salt
- 3/4 tsp. pepper
- 1/4 tsp. ground nutmeg
Instructions
- Quarter the hardboiled eggs, lengthwise and set aside.
- Place the onion in a saucepan with the butter and brown slightly.
- Whisk in the flour, add milk, salt and pepper and nutmeg.
- Cook over low heat for about 20 minutes.
- Add the eggs, gently, simmer for about 5 minutes.
- Serve hot.
