Ingredients
- 1 Sliced bread (2cm thick)
- 100 ml Milk
- 1 Egg
- 2 tbsp or more Sugar
- 1 slice Melting type cheese
- 1 Butter (or margarine)
- 1 dash Powdered sugar to finish
- 1 Maple syrup to finish
Instructions
- Quarter the bread.
- Thoroughly whisk the milk, egg, and sugar.
- Soak the quartered bread into the mixture.
- Heat a frying pan with butter, and cook the bread.
- Toast the bread on both sides until browned.
- Sandwich the cheese between the bread and it's done.
- These are also tasty with the cheese placed on the bread, and grilled to a crisp with the cheese side face down.
- Sprinkle powdered sugar to taste.
- They're also great with maple syrup.
