Ingredients
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 large yellow onion
- chopped
- 1 large green bell pepper
- chopped
- 1 (16 ounce) can kidney beans
- undained
- 1 (16 ounce) can black beans
- undrained
- 2 (20 ounce) cans crushed tomatoes
- undrained
- 2 lbs ground turkey
- 2 tablespoons chili powder
- 1 tablespoon cocoa powder
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
Instructions
- Brown ground turkey separately.
- Brown the onion and pepper in olive oil.
- Add the chili powder to the veggies and mix in well.
- When sufficiently browned, add the canned beans and tomatoes.
- Allow to come up to temperature and add cocoa powder and cinnamon, mixing in well.
- Add Turkey to chili.
- Continue to allow to bubble, adding other spices to taste.
