Ingredients

  • 2 tsp (10 ml). cinnamon
  • 5 tbsp (70 ml). sugar - Mix & set aside.
  • 4 cups (950 ml) peeled
  • sliced apples (good
  • tart ones)
  • 3 cups (700 ml) flour
  • 1 cup (225 ml) oil
  • 4 eggs
  • 2-1/2 tsp (12.5 ml). vanilla
  • 2-1/2 cups (600 ml) sugar
  • 1/2 cup (125 ml) orange juice
  • 1 tbsp (15 ml). baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp (2 ml). salt

Instructions

  1. Mix cake ingredients 4 minutes using mixer.
  2. Grease & flour bundt or tube pan.
  3. Pour a layer of batter, then a layer of apples & sprinkle with cinnamon & sugar mixture.
  4. Alternate layers, ending with a layer of batter 2 more times.
  5. Bake at 350 for 1 1/2 hours.
