Ingredients
- 1 14 cups shortening
- 2 cups sugar
- 2 eggs
- 2 teaspoons vanilla
- 2 cups unsifted all-purpose flour
- 34 cup natural cocoa powder
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 12 teaspoon table salt
Instructions
- Put shortening in a large bowl.
- Put in microwave on high 30 seconds.
- Cream sugar into shortening.
- Add eggs and vanilla and mix well.
- In another bowl, combine flour, cocoa, baking soda and salt.
- Blend into wet mixture; batter will be stiff.
- Drop by teaspoonfuls onto ungreased cookie sheet and bake at 350F for 8-9 minutes.
- Cool on cookie sheet until set, about 5 minutes, then transfer to a rack to cool completely.
