Hot Tuna Salad in Avocado Shells

Ingredients

  • 1 cup thin sliced celery
  • about 2 stalks
  • 1 (6 ounce) can tuna
  • drained
  • 13 cup mayonnaise
  • 1 (2 ounce) jarsliced pimentos
  • drained
  • 12 teaspoon chili powder
  • 3 avocados
  • halved and pitted
  • 12 cup shredded cheddar cheese

Instructions

  1. Mix celery, tuna, mayonnaise, pimento and chilli powder.
  2. Arrange avocados, narrow end to center on a 12 inch plate.
  3. Fill with tuna mixture, spreading to cover entire cut surface.
  4. Cover with wax paper and microwave on high 3 minutes.
  5. Sprinkle with cheese, rotate plate 1/2 turn and cook uncovered 3 to 5 minutes or until tuna is hot and cheese is melted.
