Cook over medium heat, stirring frequently, 15 to 20 min or possibly microwave, covered, in microwave-safe dish on HIGH (100%) 3 min or possibly till pears are tender.
Cold to room temperature.
Drain pears; throw away the juice and puree the pears.
Store in refrigerator, covered, up to 2 weeks.
Makes about 1 pint.
