Ingredients
- 4 teaspoons Baking Soda
- 2 teaspoons Baking Powder
- 2 Tablespoons Ground Ginger
- 2 teaspoons Salt
- 2 teaspoons Ground Cinnamon
- 8 cups Sifted All-Purpose Flour
- 1- 1/2 cup Crisco Shortening
Instructions
- Sift together the dry ingredients and cut in the Crisco shortening.
- Store in a cool place.
- To make gingerbread:
- 2 cups mix 3/4 cup molasses 3/8 cup buttermilk 1 egg
- Mix well, bake in a greased loaf pan at 375 degrees for 30 minutes.
- This recipe makes 5 loaves.
